arthur pendragon&bradley james, the nobleness charm *merlin


Bradley James (Exeter, 11 ottobre 1983) è un attore inglese. Debutta nella serie TV Lewis nel 2008 e ha recitato come co-protagonista nel telefilm Merlin lo stesso anno.
Da piccolo sognava di diventare o un calciatore o un attore: quest'ultimo sogno è riuscito ad avverarlo anche se il calcio rimane tra i suoi hobby preferiti. Bradley ha fatto la sua prima apparizione in un episodio di Lewis nel 2008. Ha inoltre recitato la parte di Ben Davies nel dramma della BBC Tre Dis/Connected. Ha studiato presso il Drama Centre di Londra. Il successo è arrivato quando è stato scelto per interpretare il ruolo del principe Arthur, al tempo adolescente che sarebbe diventato il leggendario re Artù, nel fantasy della BBC Merlin, accanto al giovane collega Colin Morgan, che interpreta il protagonista del titolo. Re Artù, figlio di re Uther Pendragon, è un'importante figura delle leggende della Gran Bretagna, dove appare come la figura del monarca ideale sia in pace sia in guerra. È il personaggio principale della Materia di Britannia (anche Ciclo bretone e Ciclo arturiano), anche se c'è disaccordo sul fatto che Artù, o una persona reale su cui il personaggio sia stato ricalcato, sia veramente esistito[1]. Nelle citazioni più antiche che lo riguardano e nei testi in gallese non viene mai definito re, ma dux bellorum ("signore della guerra").
